Working as a management accountant has been a mainstay of my career since I qualified with CIMA in 2008.

I can work with your existing team or as a standalone resource depending on your requirements. Typical activities will include –

• Production of monthly management accounts. Consolidation of existing reports and accounts into a single reporting pack with supporting commentary and analysis.
• Budgeting and Planning. Production of annual budgets and forecasts either from rolloing forward or bottom up approach. Undertaking analysis of proposed new activities/products and modelling impact on plans.
• Cost and Profitability Analysis. Reporting variance drivers and identifying areas for improvement. Working to identify fixed and variable costs and improve cost absorption methods.
• Performance Measurement and Decision Support. Helping management understand the financials and cutting through noise and pre-conceptions to understand the true impact of decisions.
• Internal Controls. Using systems, data and reports to systemically embed controls in a flexible framework appropriate to business risk.

I will work with you to determine key deliverables and timescales. Once we have achieved the objectives, we’ll train your existing team to take over or agree ongoing BAU support as necessary.
